The new graphene air filter is introduced, can be completely sterilized by current

Ben-Gurion University is developing an innovative type of filter for self-disinfecting air filters based on graphene water purification technology, in light of international concern about COVID-19. Ben-Gurion University in Israel’s Negev, Dr Chris Arnusch works to purify water by creating membranes with both antibacterial and viral properties. He is now a pioneer in laser-induced Graphene (LIG), water filter.

LIG (microporous graphene) can be created on any number of materials. With the use of low-level current, laser-induced graphene can effectively remove pollutants from water. It also actively kills bacteria and viruses. The principle inspired scientists to create a new air filter.

This new nanotechnology is built on laser-induced carbon water filters. It can be used in heating and ventilation systems as well air conditioning systems. Use of N95 and other masks can cause contamination.

The new nanomaterial, according to researchers could be fully sterilized by the current. LIG filter may then be combined with more advanced air filters like HEPA filters. This filter may be used to protect expensive air filters. It can also extend their useful life.

LIG Air Filters can be used to provide safety in sensitive times like the new crown epidemic. The environment is safer. This will ensure that ordinary people as well as medical personnel are protected better by the included material in their hoods.
It’s widely known that graphene can be called “the king of new materials.” China is home to a huge amount of graphene, and it’s one of world’s leading graphene-related research centers. Cheng Huiming was the Chinese Academy of Sciences academician. During the conference the main theme of “Preparation of Grafene, Other Two Dimension Materials, by Exfoliation Method” focused on both the intercalated extended liquid-phase exfoliation (IELP) and the electrochemical exfoliation methods. Composite materials, energy storage, and inks are all made with high-quality graphene material that is large in quantity from natural graphite.

Cheng Huiming works primarily in graphene research, as well as the development of two-dimensional materials for energy conversion and storage. Some of the invention patents he has received have been transferred. He explained that it is important now to create graphene with high standards and find an innovative way to apply graphene. These are some of the many achievements made over the past few years. Graphene currently has commercial applications. These include anti-corrosion coats, additives for ion batteries and many other uses. Recently, a graphene-based heat dissipation material was used to improve performance in a new Chinese smartphone.

Cheng Huiming believes Guangxi should be able to merge its technical qualities, such as Liuzhou. It also needs to have a pillar economy that allows it research, development, and application of graphene. Guangxi is witnessing a lot of progress in the graphene business.

Participating experts held many academic discussions during the meeting on cutting edge research, testing and standards formulation as well as hot applications such as lighting, rubber tire, metal-based composite cement concrete, lubricants and energy conservation.

Graphene or “black gold” is the thinnest and strongest nanomaterial known. It’s also the most conductive and thermoconductive. Chinese officials developed a range of policies and guidelines to promote the growth of the graphene market in recent years. According to China’s industry development roadmap, China’s graphene market should be able to create an industry that is worth 10 billion won by 2020. In 2025, its industry total will reach 100 billion won.
